In the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics we can all look forward to seeing some of our favorite skateboarders try to win gold for the United States. In order to do that, they will need to abstain from smoking weed for a while. Not only because of Olympic rules but also because the country of Japan hates weed. Find out more as Christine Scalfani explains.

Christine Sclafani here once again to dose you up with some cannabis culture.

So, did you hear they decided to add skateboarding to the 2020 Olympics? I think that is great, but how do those zoomers plan on passing Olympic drug tests? I mean seriously, isn’t it a rule that if you ride a skateboard, you have to be stoned? Just kidding…not really.

They named the US skateboarding team just last week. Some of the people we can look forward to seeing on the halfpipe are Louie Lopez, Lacey Baker and Nyjah Huston (Nie-Jah Houston) representing the United States. There are a total of 8 women and 8 men that have been named to the team, which will make next year’s Olympics righteous.

One other thing for athletes to consider beyond Olympic drug testing, is that the 2020 Olympics take place in Tokyo, Japan. They absolutely hate weed in Japan. They have some of the strictest laws in the world concerning smoking weed. They better stick to their 360 degree toe flips and set the blunts aside.

In all seriousness, skateboarding in the Olympics should be awesome and I will be rooting for our athletes hard, but you can know for sure I won’t be abstaining.

Stay lifted everyone!
